The Shingle Peak brand has recently been given a fresh new look and our client wanted to ensure that shoppers were aware of this. 

We created a National on-pack promotion to remind them that Shingle Peak is the perfect wine to celebrate all those little peaks and perfect moments everyday and to reward them with the chance to win some great prizes:

Shoppers were given a choice of 4 prizes to win with 25 x $1000 value prizes to be won.

Nature Valley™ was at the ASB Auckland Marathon with the Nature Valley™ Chill Zone, giving competitors and supporters a place to unwind after the finish line. We created the Nature Valley™ 'Finishers Wall', featuring all of the runners/walkers names and giving them a photo opportunity to celebrate and share their achievement on social media. 

With our car full of bars, the Nature Valley™ crew sampled over 7,000 Nature Valley™ Protein and Crunchy bars to runners and supporters, the perfect post event on-the-go snack. 

Charlie's quintessentially Kiwi attitude has always set it apart in the juice category.  We wanted to bring a smile to shoppers faces this winter by leveraging the idea ‘as nature intended’.

The tounge in cheek ‘Hundie$ or Undies’ campaign was a txt to win promotion where 25 winners were drawn every day for 6 weeks. Prizes of $100 or Charlie's bespoke undies were randomly awarded to many happy shoppers throughout the country. Most importantly the campaign recharged kiwis love for the Charlie's brand.

HUGGIES® Rewards is a programme developed to reward loyal HUGGIES® mums and dads by providing them with an opportunity to redeem gifts throughout the year.

From our research we knew that mums and dads thought books were one of the best gifts they could receive from HUGGIES® and we also knew how much shoppers love personalisation. The HUGGIES® storybook promotion is now live and mums and dads across the country will be able to choose books with their baby featuring as the main character.

The promotion offers 9,000 personalised books available to claim (three titles) with every 100 points collected via selected HUGGIES® products.

The promotion uses SnapShop^TM - a BTL developed digital receipt validation tool to enable simple uploading of receipts to the microsite.

Pure Blonde wanted to sample product and demonstrate that with 80% less carbs than regular beer* Pure Blonde doesn’t compromise on taste. 

We formed sponsorship agreements with key gyms and fitness centres around Auckland, surprising and delighting their members with the refreshing taste of Pure Blonde as their post workout reward. This was successful in raising awareness of Pure Blonde’s lower carb offering with our healthy and active target market, making Pure Blonde synonymous with their active lifestyle. 

Feedback from the sampling was fantastic with gym members saying Pure Blonde would definitely be part of their consideration in the future.

Gregg’s came to us wanting to reinvigorate growth in the Herbs and Spices shaker jar segment.  Based on the insight that ‘The home cook gets tired of cooking the same old, same old and would love to change it up...in a low risk, quick and easy way’ we needed to help these cooks shake up their cooking and help them discover a new secret ingredient for achieving this.

Our campaign centred on the idea that “Everyone has a secret ingredient…Shake in yours!”.  Shoppers could buy any 2 Gregg’s Herbs & Spices & get a secret seasoning blend FREE.  There were 4 different blends available, all from the Flavours of the World range.  Once shoppers opened the secret blend they were directed online for recipe inspiration, with the “Gregg’s 12 second meal makeover” features showing quick and easy suggestions on how to use the blend.

Starting with the idea of a rugby tipping competition, we worked with PlaceMakers to create a campaign that leveraged their Community Partnership with all five Investec Super Rugby franchises and engaged not only their target ‘tradie’ market, but also generated brand love with  a wider audience (anyone with an interest in rugby).

Our digital team built the campaign website and the tipping platform with secure consumer data and winner management, tracking everyones picks over the entire season.

During the Investec Super Rugby season PlaceMakers gave away over $600,000 worth of prizes to thousands of rugby fans.  The campaign was a huge success and we  are working with PlaceMakers on ideas for the 2018 Super Rugby season!

Hardly a meal goes by in New Zealand without someone asking, “Where’s the Sauce?” This question formed the basis of this nationwide promotion, but in this case the sauce was F.Whitlock & Sons Killer Sauce, sitting in a Land Rover Defender, hidden somewhere in New Zealand.  Shoppers were tasked with trying to find where it was to be in to win it!

We recruited shoppers into the campaign at point of purchase and via social media and created a digital interface that connected the purchase of F.Whitlock & Sons products with a very aspirational prize in a highly engaging way – ‘pin to win’.

Treasury Wine Estates wanted to bring a touch of Italian style to New Zealand Grocery aisles with its popular Peroni brand.  We made this happen with unique aspirational promotions at New World and Countdown supermarkets nationwide.   The New World promotion offered the chance to win a new Cranes Brothers Suit and a trip for two to Milan and the Countdown promotion offered a new wardrobe from Edit and a trip for two to Florence.   The grand prizes were complemented with secondary $1000 cash prizes.

We created 3 adorable Huggies® hand painted wooden toys to collect. These limited edition New Zealand designed toys – skittles, pull along and balancing toy - were endorsed by Plunket and were available to claim while stocks lasted.

The campaign used SnapShop as the receipt validation tool.  Shoppers simply purchased selected Huggies® products then emailed or uploaded a photo of their receipts to collect points. They claimed the toy of their choice with every 100 points collected.

Huggies® Toys were the winner of the one-and-only platinum award for best piece of merchandise overall in the 2017 APPA Awards. Described by the judges as “world class yet quintessentially NZ” and “gender neutral, high quality, bright colours, educational, limited edition and commercially superb”, the toys and the overall campaign delivered a great result for the client.

Huggies® Toys also won gold in the Promotional Product Innovation and Design category.

Run by the Australasian Promotional Products Association, the APPA Awards acknowledge the most creative promotional companies across Australia and New Zealand.

Beam Suntory New Zealand wanted to raise Canadian Club to top of mind for liquor store shoppers before the peak summer trading period.   They asked us to think outside the square and deliver something different to what had been promoted before. 

By gathering a sound understanding of who the target market were and how they like to spend their spare time it wasn’t long until our team found the  perfect product - a glass topped bar table with foosball game and ice bucket built in.  It even had cup holders to protect the drink when the foosball got competitive. 

It ticked all the boxes.  It was new to Canadian Club, new to the New Zealand liquor trade, and of high quality, providing the premiumness that Canadian Club needed.  Most importantly it had huge Canadian Club drinker appeal.  All in all it was a statement piece that the target market would aspire to have and the promotion was a great success. 

The Canadian Club Foosball Table was the winner of the gold award in the Consumer Program/Gift With Purchase category at the recent 2017 APPA Awards. Feedback from the judges included “the matching of the promotional items to fit the campaign showcased the product in a fun way” and “fits the target market perfectly”.

Run by the Australasian Promotional Products Association, the APPA Awards acknowledge the most creative promotional companies across Australia and New Zealand.

George Weston Foods wanted an activation that allowed Ploughman’s shoppers ‘a moment to enjoy life’s simple pleasures’.  We created the Ploughman’s Picnic Time promotion offering shoppers a ‘field of daisies’ picnic rug so they can get outdoors and enjoy a picnic with family and friends over a hearty Ploughmans sandwich.  Shoppers simply have to purchase 8 loaves of Ploughman’s bread (collated over time using SnapShop as the receipt validation tool) to redeem a LTO Daisy Rug.  This promotion is currently in market.

General Mills have recently launched Fibre One Bars in New Zealand.  We helped New Zealanders discover this new guilt-free indulgence with a sampling campaign instore, in Westfield shopping centres and at key transport hubs during peak morning commute times.  The cake dome prop has proved a unique talking point!

General Mills wanted to introduce shoppers to the new Old El Paso Restaurante range of authentic mexican meal kits.

We created unique sampling tables that replicated street food cooking, and highlighted the ease and convenience of the meal kits, creating  immediate interest and engagment in store.

With Summer on its way the Speights Summit Citrus sampling came out in force with in store tastings taking place in supermarkets across the country. The Speights Summit Citrus was the hero of this campaign.

Along with the supermarket campaign BTL Engage also created a Speights Summit Citrus zone in shopping malls in Auckland and Christchruch. Shoppers were invited into the zone to try an ice cold sample of the refreshing Speights Summit Citrus lager.

The Speights Summit Citrus campaign was well received with shoppers buying out stock in supermarkets and shopping malls.  

Showing shoppers how easy it is to cook real food at home was the aim of this sampling activation with the ‘We Are What We Eat’ campaign.

Two brand ambassadors prepared the delicious ‘2 easy pizza dough’ in store using only two ingredients and then topped it with cheese and basil to create a twist on the traditional margherita pizza. This activation was extremely popular and proved to be very responsive with nearly 500 engagements in 3 stores resulting in over 50 sales of the products used.

Woodstock Bourbon needed a promotion to drive repeat purchase over the key six-week Christmas trading period.  We delivered a concept never seen before in NZ: a customised, horizontal Man Kitchen BBQ Charcoal Grill/Smoker and a 7ft Woodstock pool table.  This was the most successful instore promotion Woodstock have ever run with a double digit increase in sales vs. year ago.

TVNZ wanted  to maintain viewer interest during the show's summer hiatus by asking viewers to create their own endings to each romantic cliff-hanger. Winning online entries would receive a prize.
